IYO Background Art
During my 3 months internship in 2022 at Robot Playground, I was a background artist on iYO, a local preschool animated series. I painted backgrounds, created layouts and created title slates for production. I learnt a lot about the visual development production of an animated series, technical skills and practice of following an established artstyle, and the importance of layouts. It was my first time seeing what it was like to work in an animation studio, and I found I really enjoyed my experience there.

Really appreciate the guidance of Art Director Ruwei Ong as well as background painters Sakura Wong and Rebekah Chew! Many of the backgrounds I painted had layouts created by Sakura and Rebekah.
